Language Attitude Study

Notice:
I'm putting together a study that will focus on the language attitudes of white males split by age and social class (middle middle class/ lower working class, under 20/ over 40).
Attitudes will be elicited through error correction and interpretation of transcribed conversations uttered by native and non-native speakers. Dialect variation and errors at the lexical, semantic and grammatical levels will be included in these transcripts.
I'm interested to see which of these areas is more or less stigmatized, by which subject category and toward which speakers (native/non-native.)
Would anyone have any advice for an aspiring sociolinguist? Thanks.
