Selected Publications: Published a number of papers in English on Indo-European, Historical Linguistics, Sanskrit, Bengali, and also a large number of articles on different aspects of Bengali, written two books on Introductory Socilinguistics ( in Bengali), aan article was published recently on paremiology (proverb study/research) in Bengali, which deals with how a proverb dictionary can be compiled basing on the significant key words of Bengali, not an alpahbetic listing of proverbs according to the first word of the proverb.
