  • Chronologically, but not in terms of LINGUIST years, I am the fourth eldest person at LINGUIST List. After twenty years or so in the manufacturing, mortgage, and mortgage insurance industries, I figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. And once I'd figured it out, I went down to the university and signed right up. Now, heading into my final undergrad year as a linguistics major at Wayne State University, I am in my second year as The LINGUIST List's Managing Editor. As the M.E., most of what I am responsible for is training and support of our editorial staff, policy making/revision, quality assurance of LL posts, and customer service. If I can be of assistance to you in any of these areas, please feel free to contact me.
  • I'm interested in language variation and change, production and perception, phonology/prosody, orthography, and (insert here). What's not to like about linguistics?

  • Working at LINGUIST List is challenging and rewarding work. If you are a linguistics student, visit our website to learn about opportunitie for graduate assistantships or summer internships with us:

  • *PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Your support of LINGUIST List makes it possible for us to maintain and continue building a website that serves linguists around our world. You can help make it possible for linguistic resources to be made available for free to people in places who may not otherwise have access to tools and information they need to carry out important work. We do an annual Fund Drive in the spring of every year, but if you just cannot wait to contribute, here is a link to our donations page:
