The LINGUIST List is dedicated to providing information on language and language analysis, and to providing the discipline of linguistics with the infrastructure necessary to function in the digital world. LINGUIST is a free resource, run by linguistics students and faculty, and supported primarily by your donations. Please support LINGUIST List during the 2016 Fund Drive.
The LINGUIST List undertakes major research and service projects devoted to enhancing the field of linguistics by means of state-of-the-art digital technologies. We have been awarded several National Science Foundation grants which funded the development of infrastructure for our discipline. The vast majority of these projects have involved innovative, technology-based research. Visit a project link below to learn more about it.

Not all project work that The LINGUIST List does is funded by an outside organization. One such is The LINGUIST List's Wikipedia Update Project, an experimental project offered as a community service to its subscribers. Read about that project here.
