Erich Schmidt Verlag GmbH & Co. KG - Philological Department
The philological program of Erich Schmidt Verlag looks back upon a far reaching and profound tradition. Publications in the area of German Studies debate important and current topics of medieval studies, linguistics, and literary studies, including culture studies, as well as interdisciplinary topics.
The Erich Schmidt Verlag has established renowned series such as 'Philologische Studien und Quellen' or 'Texte des späten Mittelalters und der frühen Neuzeit'.
The well-known textbooks were united under the proprietary name “ESVbasics”. Clear and fresh in appearance, these concise works on highest academic standards are perfect companions for today’s busy scholar.
Highly reputed 'Archiv für das Studium der neueren Sprachen und Literaturen' and 'Zeitschrift für deutsche Philologie' (founded in 1846 and 1868 respectively) belong to the oldest philological journals, but are far from being antiquated. Linguistic debate finds a forum in our journal 'Deutsche Sprache'.

Working together with The Institute for Research in Language Teaching, which was established under the presidency of Dr. Harold E. These number hundreds of volumes since the company's foundation, and Kaitakusha has been taking the lead in contributing greatly towards the development of language teaching in Japan as well as drawing the attention of extensive English teaching circles abroad.

La revue des étudiants en ling. du Québec/Quebec Students Journal of Ling.
The Quebec Students Journal of Linguistics is a completely free online bilingual linguistics journal (in French and English). Our goal is to distribute articles of students in linguistics directly on our web site. For logistic reasons, the domains concerned are the following: phonology, phonetics, syntax, morphology, semantics, sociolinguistics (including languages in contact, creole studies, and variationist linguistics), dialectology, discourse analysis, pragmatics, lexicology, lexicography, natural language processing (NLP), sign languages and language acquisition. However, this orientation is not definitive and will evolve as it pleases the students that join us in this enterprise.
The different issues, published twice a year (fall and spring), will be made up of independent or occasionally organized articles according to research themes, unpublished conference summaries and reviews of recently published works.

MIT Press
The MIT Press is the only university press in the United States whose list is based in science and technology. This does not mean that science and engineering are all we publish, but it does mean that we are committed to the edges and frontiers of the world -- to exploring new fields and new modes of inquiry. (For a time we described our publishing program as chasing "The Moving Frontier," but we've moved beyond even that.) We publish about 200 new books a year and over 40 journals. We are a major publishing presence in fields as diverse as architecture, social theory, economics, cognitive science, and computational science, and we have a long-term commitment to both design excellence and the efficient and creative use of new technologies. Our goal is to create books and journals that are challenging, creative, attractive, and yet affordable to individual readers.

International Journal of Language Studies (IJLS)--ISSN: 2157-4898, eISSN: 2157-4901--is devoted to all areas of language and linguistics. Its aim is to present work of current interest in all areas of language study. IJLS only publishes research papers based on "original extant research" work done by the authors who submit their papers to IJLS for publication. We prefer NOT to accept "transfer" papers based on works done by people other than the authors themselves. At times, however, "State of the Art" articles may be solicited by the journal.
Other materials that will be considered include review articles surveying developments in the various fields of language study (including language teaching, language testing, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, (critical) discourse analysis, ESP, curriculum development, politeness research, and so on). Also, a considerable number of pages in each issue are devoted to critical book reviews.

SSML Fondazione Villaggio dei Ragazzi "Don Salvatore d'Angelo"
The Journal of Cultural Mediation of the SSML Fondazione Villaggio dei Ragazzi "don Salvatore d'Angelo"focuses on the role of culture in perceiving and translating reality. The interplay between language and culture in communication is a fundamental issue, and nowadays, more than ever, needs to be investigated.
The greatest challenge of today’s society is managing diversity. In fact, more and more people are becoming increasingly involved in communicative interactions with “others” from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. This continuous exchange happens in many different fields, as business, education, media, tourism and also through immigration and politics.
Therefore, the aim of this Journal is to promote research in communication, especially by investigating language, languages, cultural models, mediation and interculturality. Each issue contains a selected number of multi-disciplinary articles, themed around a central topic in intercultural communication.

The Faculty of Arts has a long tradition of publishing scientific and professional publications, university textbooks, and various language manuals. The publishing activities of all departments are joined under the Academic Publishing Division of the Faculty of Arts. With regard to the number of publications, this is one of the biggest publishers of academic literature in the field of the humanities and social sciences in Central Europe and has for some time been the largest in Slovenia. It consists of four field-related editorial departments: scientific publications; university level and other textbooks; professional publications; promotional materials. Publications include works which present the most recent research achievements in the humanities and social sciences, study literature, and expert works of interest to the wider public. Aside from scientific research monographs, proceedings, and study literature, it also publishes periodic professional journals.

The University of Nebraska Press primarily publishes nonfiction books and scholarly journals, along with a few titles per season in contemporary and regional prose and poetry. On occasion, we reprint previously published fiction of established reputation, and we have several programs to publish literary works in translation. Through our paperback imprint, Bison Books, we publish reprints of classic books of myriad genres. Our primary mission, defined by the University through the Press Advisory Board of faculty members working in concert with the Press, is to find, evaluate, and publish in the best fashion possible, serious works of nonfiction.

UiL OTS aims at developing scientific expertise in the systems underlying language, speech and their use. The institute's objective is threefold: to increase our understanding of language and speech, to train researchers who will be able to make a valuable contribution to this field of knowledge, and to share our knowledge with institutions beyond the academic world. We also participate actively in joint research with other disciplines such as logic, computer science, neuroscience, biology, psychology and sociology. At UiL OTS, the human language faculty is studied from a wide range of perspectives: Computational Linguistics & Logic, Experimental Psycholinguistics, Language Development (Language Acquisition and Language Teaching), Language Use, Morphology & Phonology, Phonetics, Syntax & Semantics. UiL OTS seeks to exploit the synergies between these various areas to the full. See http://www-uilots.let.uu.nl/

The Centre for General Linguistics, Typology and Universals Research (ZAS) is a university-independent research centre located in the federal state of Berlin. Its objective is the investigation of natural language and its manifestation in individual languages. Universals are properties that are common to all languages; these can be said to be due to similarities in the biological and cognitive make-up of humans, as well as to the similar role that language plays within all human communities. Typology is the documentation and classification of systematic differences which indicate that the pressure to optimise - to which all languages are subject - in order to satisfy the demands imposed by biological, cognitive and communicative factors can lead to different solutions in different languages.
