This volume contains 12 papers selected from the Second Workshop on Spanish Sociolinguistics, which was held at the University at Albany on March 25-26, 2004. The authors discuss sociolinguistic issues within Spanish-speaking communities and countries around the world, including language policy, code-switching, borrowing, differences in phonetics, phonology, and syntax, language use issues, and much more. Most papers are written in English, and several are written in Spanish.
