This volume contains 16 papers selected from the 4th Workshop on Spanish Sociolinguistics, which was held at the University of Albany, SUNY in April 2008. Plenary papers by José Luis Blas Arroyo and Jonathan Holmquist lead off the proceedings. The other papers are organized into sections on phonological variation, morpho-syntactic variation, discourse analysis, and language contact.
