Jost Gippert: Our Featured Linguist!

"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Title: Le Français et le Provençal
Written By: H. Suchier
Translated By: P. Monet
URL: www.lincom-shop.eu
Series Title: LINCOM Gramatica
Description:

Schuchardt at Ascoli, soit à mes recherches personelles.

Table des matières: Chapitre I : Limites du domaine gallo-roman. Chapitre II :
Chapitre V :
Permutation de sons. Chapitre VI : Croisement, assimilation de vocables,
étymologie populaire. Chapitre VII : Changements de signification,
Changements d’empoli. Chapitre VIII : Changements d’emploi. Chapitre IX :
Relation ; accord ; genre. Chapitre X : Ellipse et phénomènes semblances.

This re-edition has been published as no 139 in the LINCOM Gramatica
