Edited By Anita Auer, Daniel Schreier, and Richard J. Watts

This book "challenges the assumption that there is only one 'legitimate' and homogenous form of English or of any other language" and "supports the view of different/alternative histories of the English language and will appeal to readers who are skeptical of 'standard' language ideology."

Title: Art et Science de rhetoricque metriffiée
Written By: Gratien du Pont
URL: http://www.classiques-garnier.com/editions/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypag
Description:

The prescriptive Art et science de rhetoricque metriffiée which appeared in Toulouse in 1539 is both one of the last examples of the genre, and an anticipation of the poetics which will come to dominate the second half of the century.
