WPLC is currently accepting submissions for Volume 24, with open-ended tributes for Dr. John Esling, who is retiring after a long and prestigious career in articulatory phonetics in the summer of 2014. The aim of the volume is to pay tribute to Dr. Esling and his exceptional gifts as teacher, supervisor, colleague, and academic. We therefore welcome submissions which honour him through brief anecdotes, short stories, creative literary works, or memories of how this extraordinary scholar has inspired individuals, their studies, or their careers. The word limit for individual contributions to this section of the volume is 500 words, exclusive of name and affiliation.

To submit, please e-mail your tribute directly to wplc@uvic.ca. Submissions from both students and faculty, current and former, are encouraged.

Please forward any questions to wplc@uvic.ca. We look forward to your submissions.
