| Abstract: | Based on central dimensions - semantic, argumental, morphological, distributional - conveyed to the characterization of the adjectival category in Portuguese, this paper describes the functional properties of the most relevant adjectival classes: qualifying adjectives, classificatory adjectives, argumental/thematic adjectives and predicative adjectives. |
