Abstract:

The Unity of Nile Nubian language group is assumed and defended in this paper. Classical means of historical reconstruction are used in order to reconstruct some of the proto-Nile Nubian phonemes. An attempt is also made to reconstruct the forms of some individual words. The reconstructions presented are provided with evidence drawn from the data pertaining to the languages under study, namely, Kenzi-Dongolese; Mahas-Fadicca.
