Abstract: En el presente artículo presentaremos brevemente algunos conceptos importantes sobre el enfoque 'biolingüístico'. En primer lugar, nos referiremos al término 'biolingüística' y a las etapas de la perspectiva biolingüística. En segundo lugar, daremos una definición que nos aproxime a entender lo que significa la biolingüística. Una tercera parte abarcará los límites de la biolingüística, es decir, intentaremos precisar el concepto que dimos anteriormente desechando todo aquello que no estudia o que no puede ser considerado dentro de la biolingüística. Por último, nos referiremos al gen FOXP2, llamado comúnmente 'gen de la gramática' o 'gen del lenguaje', y mostraremos algunos conceptos importantes de los últimos modelos de la GG, el modelo de Principios y Parámetros (P&P) y el modelo 'minimalista' que intentan dar respuesta a las cuestiones fundamentales de la biología del lenguaje (Chomsky, 2005a).
