Pázmány Péter Catholic University was established in 1635. It has five faculties, a Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a Faculty of Information Technology, a Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, a Faculty of Theology, a Canon Law Institute, and a Pedagogical Faculty. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pazmany Peter Catholic University publishes books on linguistics, literature, history, philosophy, and psychology, and is located in Piliscsaba, on the outskirts of Budapest on a campus designed by the renowned architect Imre Makovecz. The Faculties have Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs; the number of students is about 8000.
