The Albanian Society for the Study of English (ASSE) was founded in November 2009 in Vlora. Its aim is to promote and advance English studies in Albania. It welcomes university teachers, researchers or people professionally involved with the study of English, literatures in English and cultures of English-speaking countries. The society seeks to establish contacts among scholars in English studies within Albania and other European countries. It provides an opportunity for Albanian scholars to exchange knowledge and skills, to coordinate activities within Albanian universities and to encourage professional cooperation among them for the promotion of these studies. |
