Forum members are interested in the full range of historical and extant languages spoken and/or written in these two closely-linked countries. The Forum for Research in the Languages of Scotland and Ulster, in its present form, is the outcome of two independent ventures, at first unrelated except by their common motive of increasing the amount of academic and popular attention paid to Scots and Gaelic.Learned association is beginning to publish free-to-view peer-reviewed volumes.
