"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Query:   I am looking for information on the use of HTML and the Web as a
platform for delivering computer aided language learning. I am
particularly interested in finding out about attempts to set up
interactive exercises using HTML forms and any of a range of
JavaScript, VBScript, Java or ActiveX. So far the only relevant site
I have come across is one called ALBERT

set up by the Continuing Education

Centre of Oulu University in Finland.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I will summarise the
responses I receive.
