Hello,
I am doing a study on gender roles, sexuality, and the internet, focusing on a culture that has come to exist on-line on specific websites. I am looking for good resources on the relationships between sex, gender, sexuality, and language, as well as information on what these things look like off-line, so that I may compare on-line gender norms to off-line gender norms. I'm already aware of and making use of work by Durham, Eckert, Goddard, Fausto-Sterling, Tannen, and Lakoff, but any other scholarly works on the subject would be appreciated as they will allow me a better view of both how these things are constructed off-line, and how to best analyse the discussions I'm finding on-line. I'd appreciate direction to anything in the field. Thank you in advance for your time, James Davis (Presently Unaffiliated) |
