Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. For my research on conversation opening patterns, I need some native
speakers of English to answer a questionnaire. Indeed, I want to
compare native speakers of English with native speakers of Persian
and EFL students of English in their pattern of opening conversation. I
