From Utterances to Speech Acts

By Mikhail Kissine

"Kissine offers a new theory of speech acts which is philosophically sophisticated and builds on work in cognitive science, formal semantics, and linguistic typology. This highly readable, brilliant essay is a major contribution to the field."

--François Recanati, Institut Jean-Nicod

Query:   Hello.

I am a third year student at the faculty of Applied Linguistics in Warsaw,
Poland. I am about to write my BA thesis on simultaneous teaching of
two foreign languages, in this case English and French.

The target group is a monolingual class (children at the age of 7). Such
bilingual education is not practiced in Poland yet.For the purpose of my
thesis, I am going to create a chapter from a textbook teaching
simultaneously English and French through content learning.

But to write the theoretical part of my work, I need some sources and I
have difficulty in finding ones. I have come across many books on
bilingual teaching but it is always teaching in the mother tongue and a
foreign language.

Could anyone help me find some sources on parallel teaching of two
foreign languages? Thank you a lot in advance.
