The Structural Design of Language

By Thomas S. Stroik, Michael T. Putnam

In this book, Stroik and Putnam take on Turing's challenge. They argue that the narrow syntax – the lexicon, the Numeration, and the computational system – must reside, for reasons of conceptual necessity, within the performance systems.

Query:   Dear colleagues,

For a little research project, I have designed a questionnaire to be filled in by
native speakers of Russian. I would rather not tell you what exactly I am
interested in because I would prefer people to fill it in unbiased. However, if
you give me your e-mail address at the end, I will afterwards tell you the
results of the survey. Furthermore, four of the first 60 participants of the
survey can win a gift card of 500 roubles or €15 or $20 for online bookshops,
so this might be something to tell your Russian-speaking students and
friends about.

Thank you very much for your help!
