Dear linguists,
Is anybody aware of a socio-pragmatic study or bibliography or literature review of apologies? I particularly need a speech-act orientation toward politeness. Additionally, is there any language in which apology is (honorifically and/or respectfully) made without any wrongdoing being made in advance? Thank you for your sincere cooperation. Regards, R. Ni |
