Dear all, I am working on topicalization of quantified DPs in Brazilian
Portuguese (BP) and I have already noticed that a topicalized DPs is okay if it contains a modifier, as in (1) and (2): (1) Every boy that I meet, you would like to meet (English) (2) Todo menino bonito, a Maria quer namorar (BP) all boy cute, the Maria wants date-Inf “Every cute boy, Maria wants to data” Thus, I would appreciate if you could tell if there is any research showing other syntactic and semantic differences in behavior between DPs with and without internal modification. Thank you, Carol Aguiar University of Brasilia/Unicamp, Brazil |
