| Description: | Bonn Open Synthesis System (BOSS) 3 On December 19th, the Phonetics group at the University of Bonn (Institute for Communication Sciences, formerly IKP) finally released the Bonn Open Synthesis System. BOSS is a free unit selection speech synthesis software licensed under the GPL. It was conceived as a modular, extensible client/server application suitable for multi-lingual TTS or CTS. BOSS comes with a number of tools to facilitate the creation of new voices. A speech corpus for German (free for non-commercial use) can be downloaded at our website.
