|Title:||Computational Linguistics: Diatech|
We are proud to announce our new tool for doing dialectometry, Diatech. Diatech has been created due to two main linguistic motivations. The main motivation is to give to linguistics the solution to the multiple responses (MR) in statistical procedures, and the other motivation is to create an open tool that can be used anywhere with an internet navigator. It is an online tool and has a module to import data from other projects.

Diatech allows users to do statistics and visualize the answers with graphics and maps.
There is a help section here:
Help section is interesting, for example, to learn how to import data to application. There are some shortcuts among the application to their relevant help sections.
There are options to share projects between selected users giving them manage permissions only if project owners wants. There is also is an option to create open projects giving use permissions to all Diatech users.
For now there are four statistics analysis types: synoptic maps, beam maps, honeycomb maps and clustering.
Diatech has been created by a multidisciplinary team: linguistics, speech engineers, statisticians, cartographers and computer specialist.

Diatech is OpenSource and the source code will be available soon. This is initial release and we welcome any contributions and participation from the community. These contributions are not limited to bug reports, but also include feature requests and more.
