Hupa
- A good general bibliography of Hupa, and some language learning materials, can be found on the Hupa Language Page, maintained by Danny Ammon of D-Q University (Davis, CA).
- Two useful resources for Hupa have recently been published by Humboldt State University for the Hoopa Tribe:
Hupa Language Dictionary (1996; $15), compiled by Victor Golla. A comprehensive reference dictionary.
Now You're Speaking Hupa! (1995; price not set), compiled by Jill Fletcher et al. A compact list of Hupa words and phrases, prepared for the Hupa language immersion camp. There is an accom- panying cassette recording, with the complete contents of the book spoken by three different native speakers.
These and some other Hupa pedagogical materials are available from: Center for Indian Community Development, Humboldt State Univ., Arcata, CA 95521 (707/826-3711; e-mail: njh1@axe.humboldt.edu).
