• John Hewson & Bernard Francis (translators and retranscribers), The Micmac Grammar of Father Pacifique. Algonquian & Iroquoian Linguistics, Memoir 7, 1990. 280 pp. $26. - This translation of Fr. Pacifique's highly regarded practical grammar of Micmac, published in French in 1939 and long out of print, is the product of a collaboration between a Micmac native scholar (Francis) and a linguist at Memorial University of Newfoundland (Hewson). By "retranscribed" the editors mean that they have converted all of Fr. Telimut Aqq Elulut Wen (workbook, 163 pp.; 2 cassette tapes, 90 min. each); 4. Ta'n Tel-Mil-Lukuti'tij Kikmanaq Aqq Kitapenaq (workbook, 179 pp.; 3 cassette tapes, 90 min. each); Ta'n Tel-Mil-Lukuti'tij Kikmanaq Aqq Kitapenaq -2 (workbook, 179 pp.; 3 cassette tapes, 90 min. each); Ta'n Tel-Mil-Lukuti'tij Kikmanaq Aqq Kitapenaq -3 (workbook, 179 pp.; 3 cassette tapes, 90 min. each).
