• Ronald Chrisley has prepared an Introduction to the Shawnee Language (second edition, 119 pp.) which he hopes "will fill a vacant niche for those like myself interested in Shawnee" and be of aid to those "who wish to take some first steps toward increasing the number [of speakers]." Chrisley, who is not a professional linguist, has made a thorough study of the major 18th and 19th century sources of Shawnee data and condensed his notes into this useful and convenient reference manual.
