Assistantships
LINGUIST sponsors LINGUIST Research Assistantships for students, the stipends of
which are funded principally by subscriber donations with tuition provided by the
Graduate School. All LINGUIST List Research Assistants must be enrolled in a
linguistics graduate program at Eastern Michigan University (note to international
applicants: LINGUIST is more than happy to help with the enrollment process).

- Since 1993, when the Assistantships began, LINGUIST has funded 68 assistantships for graduate students.
- Currently LINGUIST employs 11 graduate student editors.

LINGUIST Assistantships are advertised internationally, and applications come
from all over the world. Former LINGUIST List assisstants have come from
