Guidelines for Announcing Support on LINGUIST
|
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages Institutions/Organizations to use non-discriminatory
standards in deciding whom to award their support to. In particular we urge employers not
to discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity, nationality, age, religion, gender, or
sexual orientation. However, we have neither the right nor the means to enforce these
standards internationally.

LINGUIST postings

LINGUIST List is an electronically published journal and is registered with the U.S. Library of Congress. Like other serial publishers, LINGUIST postings, once published, cannot be amended, modified, or deleted. Under certain circumstances, we may re-post an announcement with modifications; however, both versions of the announcement will be archived.

Your support announcement, once posted, will be available as a web page on the LINGUIST site, as well as archived in our database. The posting will be retrievable from our database via search until the end date you specify. After this expiration date, the job posting information will be available for twelve months from the submission date by searching under 'recent listings.' However, the announcement will remain archived on our site in accordance with our status as a serial publication.

Acceptable Submissions

Our audience is linguistics students. Therefore we announce only support announcements that are directly relevant to the fields of linguistics or for which linguistics students are particularly qualified.

Please include an accurate ending date as part of your support announcement to avoid receiving undesired submissions after the position has been filled.
Because LINGUIST is a serial publication (see above), the announcement will remain part of our web-accessible archives; these
can not be altered after posting.

It is highly advised that all information to be submitted be checked by the submitter for accuracy and validity prior to submission.

Your submission can be revised or updated by emailing the support editor at: jobs@linguistlist.org.
The editor will update your database entry.

Please DO NOT resubmit a support announcement using the form on the web in order to revise it. This will
result in TWO database entries, one correct and one incorrect.
