Program Description:	MA Applied Linguistics The Department of Linguistics offers programs leading to the Master of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics and the Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). A sequence of courses is also available for students wishing to pursue a DOUBLE MAJOR combining TESOL with other programs at the master's level. The Department offers a B.A. degree in Linguistics with two possible tracks. The first track provides students with a solid grounding in linguistic theory and application, the second track focuses primarily on teaching English to new speakers of the language in an ESL or Bilingual setting.
