Program Description:	The undergraduate programme is a modular one which allows specialisation in English, French or German. The department specialises in syntax, semantics, language variation and change, phonetics and phonology. There is considerable scope for students to taylor their programme to reflect their own interests. Currently, the department has 14 members of academic staff and 250 undergraduate students.
