Program Description:

The Graduate Program in Linguistics, University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras, offers two degrees: (1) an M.A. in Linguistics and (2) a Graduate Certificate in Applied Linguistics. Courses are taught in Spanish by linguists from the Departments of English, Hispanic Studies and Foreign Languages. Readings are in English and Spanish. The Program publishes the UPR Working Papers in Linguistics, and students are allowed to take up to nine credits in the departments of English and Hispanic Studies.
