Program Description:

Postgraduate study in documentary and descriptive linguistics and linguistic typology. All students write a grammar of an endangered language, based on immersion fieldwork of up to a year (broken into two or three segments), as their dissertation, and participate in the many interactive academic activities of the RCLT. There is no requirement to take classes as part of the degree, but there are classes in the Linguistics Program that can be taken if the student so desires.
