This new program combines the study of a foreign language (English, German or Danish) with the acquisition of theoretical knowledge on and hands-on skills in user-centered document and interaction design. Besides high-level language skills in the foreign language, students will learn
• to design, revise and improve organization-internal and -external documents on the basis of psycholinguistic, cognitive and linguistic knowledge about communication,
• to analyze users’ interactions with new technologies, thereby contributing to technology design and development,
• empirical methods to carry out user studies, including the use of participatory methods.
The program includes one semester at one of our partner universities, where the students can specialize in one of the many applications of communication design in business, technical and intercultural communication.
Sønderborg is a friendly town located close to the Danish-German border, and the university is beautifully situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea.
