Program Description:	This course provides a good grounding in the most influential current models of generative syntax (the Minimalist Programme on the one hand, and Lexical-Functional Grammar and Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar on the other). More specialised modules bring students up-to date with recent research in more specific areas of syntax, or in areas that impinge on syntax (e.g. Semantics).
