Program Description:	The study of language and society within the well-established and rapidly-changing field of sociolinguistics provides insights into research findings in: - aspects of social organisation – including gender, ethnicity, sexuality, social class, age, occupation, religion and worldview; - aspects of social context – such as cultural expectations, norms of interaction, communicative ends, participants, beliefs and attitudes.
