Program Description: The MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Hong Kong) is a collaborative venture between Lancaster and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Lancaster staff do all the teaching in short intensive blocks, and the teaching takes place in the School of Continuing Studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which also provides administrative and learning support (e.g. library access). The aim of the MA is to provide professionally relevant and practically oriented training that is tailored to the needs of local English teachers.

This Lancaster MA is designed specifically for English language professionals resident in Hong Kong who have at least two years’ language teaching experience. It is a two-year, part-time degree which is designed so that language professionals can gain a Lancaster MA while continuing to work in Hong Kong.
