"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Program Size: Large (over 25 students)
Program Description: International Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral degree programs in Cognitive Science are offered for German and international students. The six-semester Bachelor program is method-oriented, while the four-semester Masters program treats phenomenological areas of cognition theoretically and empirically. The Doctoral program is thematically focussed on the interaction of rules and patterns in cognition.
Available Financial Aid: Some grants and assistantships are available for qualified candidates for advanced degrees.
