Message from the NAAHoLS President

Ciao everybody!

I’d like to put in a presidential plug for our annual meeting and for ICHoLS X.  This is a special year for NAAHoLS and the history of linguistics since ICHoLS X will be held in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, in September 2005.  Details on both meetings are in this newsletter. Let’s all do our best not only to help Doug Kibbee in any way he needs us but also to help make ICHoLS X a roaring success by encouraging our many international friends and colleagues to attend and to participate actively in the tenth international conference.  And there’s no better way to start than by attending our own annual meeting in San Francisco this coming January.  So please make plans now to attend both conferences.  Better yet, submit a proposal and present a paper at one or both meetings.  See you in San Fran and C-U!

Arrivederci, Dan Taylor

4) Rekonstruktion, Interpretation und Rezeption linguistischer Analysen und Konzepte
    (XVII.  Internationales Kolloquium des SGdS)
    Nicosia, Cyprus, 11-13 February 2005

veranstaltet vom
Studienkreis ‘Geschichte der Sprachwissenschaft’ (SGdS) in Zusammenarbeit mit der ‘Faculty of Letters’ und dem ‘Department of Classical Studies and Philosophy’ (Prof. Dr. Ioannis Taifacos, Dekan; Prof. Dr. Anna Panayotou-Triantaphyllopoulou und Dr. Stephanos Matthaios, wiss. Mitarbeiter) der ‘University of Cyprus’
