"Buenos dias", "buenas noches" -- this was the first words in a foreign language I heard in my life, as a three-year old boy growing up in developing post-war Western Germany, where the first gastarbeiters had arrived from Spain. Fascinated by the strange sounds, I tried to get to know some more languages, the only opportunity being TV courses of English and French -- there was no foreign language education for pre-teen school children in Germany yet in those days. Meeting Description: 9th Mediterranean Morphology Meeting, Dubrovnik, 15 - 18 September 2013

MMM 9 will take place in the Center for Advanced Academic Studies in Dubrovnik, Croatia, September 15-18, 2013. The theme of the conference is ‘Morphology and Semantics’. In addition, there will be a special section devoted to the morphology of Croatian. It will also be possible to discuss other morphological topics, for which a number of slots will be reserved in the program. The opening session of the conference will take place in the evening of September 15, followed by two full day sessions (September 16-17). A social program will be offered for September 18.

Registration costs will be 60 euros. Accommodation will be available through CAAS. Further information will be provided as soon as possible on our website for MMM9:
