Meeting Description: This workshop marks the end of the SGADS project (Grammatical variation across academic genres), a project founded by the Research Council of the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle and coordinated by Elsa Pic and Grégory Furmaniak (http://www.univ-paris3.fr/2012-2013-du-discours-specialise-au-discours-vulgarise-sensibilite-de-la-grammaire-anglaise-au-degre-de-specialisation-140801.kjsp). The aim of the workshop is to present the main results from the project but also to extend the discussion to other related issues.

The SGADS project focused on grammatical variations across two academic genres - research articles and popular science articles in English, but the conference theme will be extended to the mediation of expert discourse, defined as any kind of expert discourse directed at a speech community outside the circle of experts.

Keynote speaker: Pr. Kjersti Fløttum, Bergen University, Norway
Organizers: Elsa Pic and Gregory Furmaniak

The workshop languages are French and English.
