Story behind this recipe

Not sure where my mom found this recipe, but she made it often when I was a young girl.
Popular and inexpensive dish for potlucks, there's always an empty dish at the end of the meal. Quick and easy dessert for kids to make for the whole family. Enjoy!


2 cans Dole Pineapple (crushed) in own juice
1 package yellow cake mix (pudding in the mix)
1 stick butter

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In ungreased 9x11 Pyrex baking dish, spread the crushed pineapple evenly. Spread the cake mix evenly on top of the pineapple. Dot the entire surface with butter. Bake about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm with ice cream (yummy!) or store in the fridge for a cool treat.
