Marie-Josée's Golden Chicken Breasts with Maple Syrup

3 boneless chicken breasts
3 tbsp (45 ml) flour
2 tsp (10 ml) sweet paprika
1/2 tsp (2 ml) nutmeg
Fresh ground pepper
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
2 tbsp (30 ml) of maple syrup (could be replaced by brown sugar diluted in hot water)
Hot water

Cooking Instructions

Cut the chicken breasts into cubes. Dredge the chicken with the flour previously mixed with the pepper, the nutmeg and the paprika. Let the butter melt in a saucepan and cook the chicken in it until it is golden brown, at which point you should take the chicken out of the pan and deglace the pan with water and the maple syrup. Return the meat back in the sauce and add a little hot water. Cook in a oven at 350°F (150°C) for 30 minutes without covering. Water the chicken with the sauce during the cooking process.
