We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

I am compiling a bibliography of syntax articles in which the author
proposes a syntactic parameter and suggests a trigger by which
learners could set the parameter to the correct value. If you know of
such an article, or have written one, would you kindly send me the
reference?
Please respond directly to me at jgk22email.msn.com.
I will summarize for the list and post.
Many thanks!

Dear Sirs,
I am writing a thesis on Polish 'czasowniki dokonane' and 'czasowniki
niedokonane' in comparison with perfective and imperfective verbs in
English. I am keenly interested in various ways of rendering aspect
(on a word- or sentence-level) in both languages, especially English.
Could you help me with possible bibliography, internet links and
particular hints that would facilitate my work? I would appreciate it
very much.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Magorzata Rassak
