    Dear all,

We are in the process of compiling a written corpus of present day Turkish, part of which will be also syntactically and morphologically annotated.

If you are working on Turkish, or planning to do so in near future we would appreciate if you could answer a short survey. Confirming to the linguist list's policy please email to me for a copy of the survey ( bsayeuclid.ii.metu.edu.tr )

    Thanks in advance,

Dear Friends I am looking for any information on work done on creating a mathematical, or otherwise, scale of measuring linguistic affinity e.g. Portugese/Spanish 0.85, Slovak/Czech 0.88. I admit that such a scale would have to take into account vocabulary, syntax, mutual intelligibilty etc. Any help or guidance greatly appreciated

I am presently doing some doctoral work on language contact french-kali'na (an amerindian language spoken in French Guiana - Carib family) and I'm looking for informations on the distinction between code-shifting / code-switching / code-mixing.

And also trying to find the following papers :

DORON E., 1981, On formal models of code-switching, Ms

    MOHAMED F., 1983, Arabic-English code-switching in the speech of a six-years-old child, Ms (Source : PRINCE & PINTZUK, 1984)

NISHIMURA M., 1983, Intrasentential code-switching in Japanese/English, diss. In prep., University of Pennsylvania (Source : PRINCE & PINTZUK, 1984)
