I'd be very grateful if you could post the following query on Linguist List. Thanks, Robert McColl Millar

In his seminal article "'Abstand' languages and 'Ausbau' languages", _Anthropological Linguistics_ 9:7 of 1967, Heinz Kloss put forward the concepts of _Abstand_ (distinct language by inherent distance) and _Ausbau_ (distinct language by development). I would be very grateful if anyone could let me know of references to further developments in these concepts in later work. I will post a summary on this list.

    Dear Linguists,

Would anyone have current contact information for Lisa Garbern Liu? I am trying to reach her in regards to research she conducted in 1985 with respect to Bloom and Au:

Liu, Lisa Garbern (1985). Reasoning counterfactually in Chinese: Are there any obstacles? Cognition, 21, 239-270.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,
