    Hi. Would anyone let me know possible tests to distinguish arguments and adjuncts? (other than extraction across islands, and Lebeaux's reconstruction in 'which claim that Bill is a dancer/Bill made ...' contrast.)

    Tests on Japanese would be great, and those on other languages would be also equally great. Gladly post a summary.

    I am working on the acquisition of Cantonese as a second language for my PhD study and looking for the information of the following :

    1. Cantonese placement test ( preferably in the form of a cloze passage) 2. Previous studies on the acquisition of Cantonese as a second language
