Dear Linguist List,
I am interested in information regarding phrase-final lengthening in
languages other than English. If you know of a language which does or
does not have final lengthening (along with references, if possible),
could you please reply directly to me, and I'll summarize to the list.
Thanks much,
Alice Turk

Hello everyone,
I have a question concerning adverbial modification of accomplishment
verbs in German. Do you know if there are any psycholinguistical
tests (paper & pencil test or reaction time tests) for this
phenomenon. I am interested in the ambiguitiy of adverbs in sentences
like ' Sie kleidete sich elegant'. The adverb modfies either the
process or the resulting state. My hypothesis is that the default
interpretation is the modification of the result state.
It would ber very nice, if you could tell me, whether there are
such tests and where I can find them.
Thank you
Tatjana Zybatov
