What characterizes the Albanian spoken by Kosovar Albanians? How does it relate
to the Albanian spoken in Albania?

Subject: Urgent request for information re: Grad Teaching
Dear All:
In response to a rather sudden/urgent request of our university
administration, I've been asked to find out how many courses are taken by
Graduate Teaching Assistants in other linguistics doctoral programs. At
Cornell, for example, I believe that a student who was a TA was considered
"full time" if s/he took 8 hours (2 courses); non-teaching grad students
had to take 12 hours (3 courses) to be considered full time.
If I could quickly acquire information about the required course loads for
teaching (vs. non-teaching) doctoral students in other ling programs, I'd
be much obliged.
As time is critical here -- I need to know by tomorrow, 4/21, at about
11:30, I'd appreciate ANY replies I can get. Many thanks in advance.

Dear Linguists,
I am concerning with double negation and searching for any related
material with this topic. I would greatly appreciate any information on
this subject (especially on the information about literature), and will
post a summary.
Sincerely,
Selcuk Issever

Subject: Query About Researches on New Words (neologism)
Dear Friends out there,
One of my best friends, Ms. Yu Ying lin, is doing a research on New
Words (neologism).
Her study involves the sources, the classification, the further
development of new words and the correlation between the increasing
number of new words and the economic development and the change of
social structure.
Does anyone out there know any study on New Words or studies related
with research on New Words?
Or any references and dictionary about new words?
You may write directly to her at the following e-mail address:
stlilingdufs.edu.cn or you may write to me,and I can forward YOUR
HELP to her.
We really appreciate any effort you spend in helping her.
David
